Welcome to the Rockhampton Aero Club
We are dedicated to the aviation industry and have been active at the Rockhampton airport for over 80 years. We offer commercial charters anywhere in Australia, as well as flying training, private hire and aerial advertising. Our professional staff and strong committee can offer advice on any aviation matters.
Latest News:
The Rockhampton Aero Club is proud to announce
the arrival of their new Elite Flight Simulator. This new simulator will allow students and local pilots to practice their flying in an excellent reproduction of the aircraft they actually fly. There are lots of different single engine
and multi engine aircraft to choose from, ranging from the Cessna 172 up to the Beechcraft Baron and Beech King Air.
With advanced controls for our instructors, we are able to train you in all weather types, emergency procedures including instruments, engines and icing, as well as basic and advanced instrument flying.
You can practice any approach, any time of day, anywhere in the Australia!
Our primary focus with the new simulator is to revolutionise the methods in place for IFR training. When undertaking an IFR course with us, you can expect up to 18 hours in the
new simulator where you will practice all the approaches, procedures and emergencies associated with IFR flight before getting into the aircraft and at a fraction of the cost.
Students can record all the flight time they conduct on the simulator in their logbook and we can even save or print a record of the flight including your flight path and profile!
To find out more, call the office and ask to speak to one of our instructors.
